Sofia was born in Düsseldorf and is half German and half Spanish. She enjoyed her dance education in her early years at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and later at the Escuela de Ballet Carmina Ocaña y Pablo Savoye in Madrid. In 2014 she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Choreography and Interpretation at the Conservatory Superior de Danza María de Ávila in Madrid. Since 2020, she has been studying dance pedagogy in the master’s program at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.

Since 2013, she has already had numerous dance performances and engagements: including in Madrid, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Wuppertal, and Düsseldorf/Duisburg, while also attending workshops on Pina Bausch’s dance theater, contact improvisation, and ballet master classes, among others.

Since 2018 Sofia teaches classical ballet, pointe dance, early dance education, contemporary dance, improvisation and gives classes in yoga, fitness as well as ballet methodology.

She has been active as a teacher and trainer in schools in Madrid, Mallorca as well as in Mönchengladbach, Schaulspielhaus Düsseldorf and Folkwang University of the Arts.
