Norma Magalhães

Norma Magalhães, a talented dancer from Brazil, began her journey with a scholarship at the Academy of Dance in Mannheim, where she trained at the State University of Music and Performing Arts under the guidance of Birgit Keil and Eric Blanc. She first stepped onto the stage at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, and in 2013, she kicked off her professional career as a full ensemble member with the Thuringian State Ballet. There, she shined in many solo roles across both classical and modern choreographies.

Norma’s dedication and passion have earned her several awards, including recognition at the Tanzolymp in Berlin, the Brasilia International Dance Seminar, and the Joinville Dance Festival in Brazil. Since the 2015/16 season, she’s been a cherished part of the Ballett am Rhein family. For Norma, dance is all about freedom—not only in the way she moves but in how she expresses herself and connects with the audience.

As a teacher, Norma finds so much joy in those “aha” moments with her students, helping them discover new insights through thoughtful corrections and watching their progress unfold.
