Kauan Soares

Kauan Soares, born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, embarked on his dance journey at the age of 14 when he began his studies at the Phalibis Studio de Dança. Following a successful audition, he became a part of the Miami City Ballet School in 2012, where he completed his training and graduated as a ballet dancer. In 2016, he became a member of the Ballet Nacional del Sodre in Uruguay, under the guidance of Julio Bocca. And since 2020  he joins the Balletoper Am Rhein in Düsseldorf, under the direction of Demis Volpi.

Throughout his career, he had the privilege of working, rehearsing, and performing pieces by renowned artists and choreographers in the world of dance, including Eduardo Bonis, Ady Addor, Edward Villella, Lourdes Lopes, Hans Van Manen, Twyla Tharp, Natasha Lagunas, Sharon Eyal, Jiri Kylian, Kenneth Macmillan, Balanchine, and others.

In the year 2023, he is enrolling in the Tanzpädagogik Zertifikat program at the DBfT in Dortmund to further enhance his knowledge as a Ballet Master and Rehearsal Director.

Teaching ballet lets me share my love for art and dance with my dear students. The feelings I've experienced through dance, as well as my personal and professional growth in this field, inspire me to help others enjoy and feel the magic of being a dancer.
