LIA ROSENTHAL

Studies of dance at Iwanson School for Contemporary Dance in Munich.
Studies of Dance Therapy/ applied Dance Psychology at the Westfalian Wilhelm-University in Münster, Diploma Degree. Basic studies and certificates in inclusive Dance Education at the German Institute for Dance Education (registered association). GEMMA BRENNINKMEIJER

Studies of Classical Dance, Character Dance, Jazz Dance and Modern Dance at the State University for Classical Dance in Cologne, University Diploma Degree as Ballet Dancer. Studies of the Russian Methodology, University Diploma Degree as Ballet Instructor.
Engagements: Theatre of the state capital of Lower Austria St. Pölten, state theatre of Oberhausen, Staatsoperette Dresden and Tanzforum Cologne.
Pedagogical esperience: Ballet School in Oberhausen, Tanzhaus NR. In 1991 Gemma and her husband Thomas have founded and successfully led this ballet school as originally Gemma`s Ballett for 25 years. During her career she put a special emphasis on talent programm and ballet intensive classes to prepare the students for auditions and university entrance qualification. Furthermore, she has trained our teachers in the Russian Methodology, created a numerous of choreographies for public stage performances and ballet events and has been teaching classical ballet and jazz dance. Currently Gemma is teaching classical ballet for children and adults. In 2015 because of private reasons Gemma and Thomas have handed over the leadership of the ballet school to Lia Rosenthal to reduce their business commitments.

Approved as understood in § 4 No. 21 VAT since 1991 as one of the first teachers nationwide at the District Government of Düsseldorf.

DANIELA SIGGEL

Studies in Social Education at the University of applied Sciences in Düsseldorf with special emphasis on Media Education (Arts, Movements and Dance).
1998 – 2004: Training in the Russian Vaganova Methodology with U. Borrmann, Professor at the University for classical Ballet in Cologne
Until 2001: Training in Pre Ballet with Gisela Peters-Rohse at the University for classical Ballet in Cologne. Continuous training in the Russian Vaganova Methodology.
Since 1995 teacher at this Ballet school (former Gemma`s Ballett).

Areas of responsibility: Pre Ballet, Classical Ballet, JazzDance, Hip Hop and Video-Clip Dance, Body-Workout/Pilates, Choreographies of a variety of dance styles for public stage performances and show acts, also for famous fairs like the “boot”.

Approved as understood in § 4 No. 21 VAT at the District Government of Düsseldorf since 2007.

JULIE RUBRÖDER

Ballet education based on the Methodology of the “Royal Academy of Dance” with final examinations. Training in the Russian Vaganova Methodology with final certifications. Continuous further trainings and Woskshops in Dance Education.
Pedagogical experience in several ballet schools. Since 2003 ballet intstructor in our ballet school.
Areas of responsibility: Pre Ballet, Classical Ballet (Vaganova), intensive classes with special focus on expression and improvisation, stretching classes, choreographies of a variety of dance styles for public stage performances and show acts, also for famous fairs like the “boot”.

Since 2016 dance instructor at Rosenthal-Ballett in pre ballet, jazz dance, classical ballet and Chinese traditional dance. Approved as understood in paragraph 4 no. 21 a) bb) VAT at the district government of Düsseldorf since 2016.

HINAKO SAKURAOKA

Hinako Sakuraoka studied at Broadway dance center and Steps on Broadway, learning ballet, tap, jazz, theater dance, and singing in New York City. After 4 years, she was accepted into Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington D.C. on a full artistic scholarship where she studied vaganova technique of ballet and character dance for 4 years.
After the graduation she has worked with Semperoper Dresden with the direction of Aaron Watkin, then at Deutsche Oper Am Rhein under the direction of Youri Vamos, then as a demi-soloist in Poznan Grand Theater, and many guesting at Musik Theater am Revier in Gelsenkirchen and Theater Hagen. For two years she was in Hamburg as cover Meg Giry in Phantom of the Opera from Stage Entertainment. She is also a Certified trainer for Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis. At the moment she is working in several opera productions in NRW.

TEREZA MATOS

Education:
Tereza Luiza Matos Richardson completed her Ballet studies in Brasil at the ,,Universidade Federal da Bahia”.
1993-1997- She was invited to study contemporary dance in Germany. Engagements at the FTS. Tereza danced as a guest at theaters in Essen, Dortmund and Aachen.
2008-She to received a Dance Pedagogy diploma in classical ballet.
Approved as understood in § 4 No. 21 VAT at the District Government of Düsseldorf.

MYRIAM NILIUS-KLOOS

Education:
Myriam started as ballet student at the John Cranco Acadamy in Stuttgart.
Studies of business of administration at the university in Mannheim, with “Dipl.-Kauffrau” degree.

Education as a dance teacher at the Off-Theater nrw, Neuss with degree “Diploma in Dance Education” (according to the guidelines of the Council for the Performing Arts and Dance in the German Cultural Council). Certified Degree “Ballet Seminars Stuttgart” for ballet teachers according to the Vaganova teaching method: preparatory ballet lessons for children from 4 to 8 years with Eva Steinbrecher, former soloist of the Stuttgart Ballet.

Continuous training in the Waganova teaching method e.g. with Eva Steinbrecher, Ballett Seminars Stuttgart, for classical ballet starting for 9 years (elementary and middle school). Further education in Russian methodology according to Vaganova with Ursula Borrmann.

Approved member of the German Professional Association for Dance Education e.V., Essen (DBfT). Educational experience in various ballet schools in NRW.

Approved as understood in § 4 No. 21 VAT since 2017 as one of the first teachers nationwide at the District Government of Düsseldorf.

MICHAEL FOSTER

Education:
Michael Foster studied dance at Houston Ballet Academy’s Houston Ballet II, where he graduated in 2006. After graduating he began his professional career by joining Texas Ballet Theater in Fort Worth, Texas, under the direction of Ben Stevenson, O.B.E. In 2009 he moved to Hannover, Germany, where he spent four seasons as a soloist with the Ballet of the State Opera of Hannover under Jörg Mannes. In 2013 he joined Düsseldorf’s Ballett am Rhein as a soloist, where he is still currently employed by director Martin Schläpfer. In Düsseldorf, Michael has had the privilege to perform many lead roles in works by Martin Schläpfer, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Anthony Tudor, Merce Cunningham, and Jerome Robbins among others. Michael is also a choreographer and his works have been shown since 2010 in Hannover, Hameln, Düsseldorf, and Duisburg. Since 2018 Michael has been studying long distance at the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden. In 2021 he will graduate with a Master of Arts degree in Dance Pedagogy.
Approved as understood in § 4 No. 21 VAT at the District Government of Düsseldorf.
